About this Journal
Sidney Journal is a semi-annual periodical published by the International Sidney Society. It provides a critical forum for scholars and others who study the writings and culture of Philip Sidney, Mary Sidney Herbert, Robert Sidney, Mary Wroth, and additional members of the Sidney family and their circles. Peer-reviewed articles examine their print and manuscript writings, history, politics, theology, literary style, and other contributions to Elizabethan and Jacobean culture and society, as well as to ours. Sidney Journal also publishes related book reviews, creative work, short editions, review essays, and notes, together with notices concerning International Sidney Society sessions at upcoming conferences.
